About the Artist.

 

I have painted and drawn all my life and in 2002  retired from Nursing to pursue my love of art on a full time basis. I paint landscapes and portraits and I particularly specialise in painting animal portraits.

 

I spent 3 years working alongside the internationally acclaimed Equine Artist Michael J Paskin who taught me so much and introduced me to the world of animal portraiture.  Mike has been a great  inspiration to me. I am now studying for a B.A. (hons.) in fine art at Wolverhampton University.

 

I love to have the opportunity to meet and photograph the animals I paint and get to know the character of each one when this is possible. However, beautiful animal portraits can be done from good photographs. The photograph does not need to have a perfect background as I can paint in the background you require.

 

Every single animal is different from the next and it is my main aim to capture the individuality in each one.

I always put my heart and soul into each commission to ensure that the finished portrait is an exact likeness to your pet or your horse.

 

There is no obligation to buy the portrait unless you are absolutely delighted with the finished result and although I have never had piece of work turned down as yet, the only final judge of the work can be the customer - you!
